Had a lovely weekend doing the performative reading I’ve devised around my longterm project on my family history and the Malayan Emergency, at the closing of our group show UnAuthorised Medium curated by Annie Jael Kwan at Framer Framed gallery in Amsterdam.
Thank you to Annie for the hard, hard work curating, coordinating and shepherding each of our works behind the scenes, and to Framer Framed for hosting this interesting gathering of work around / questioning the notion of the/an archive.
Thanks to all who came to the readings and performances including a tour de brain of a performance lecture by Ho Rui An! Lovely to see old friends from Docking Station where I was artist in residence last year and where I first devised and experimented with my reading, and to meet with the current resident Kazuma Obara.
